A total of five persons, including two pilots and three crew members have been confirmed dead in the Nigerian Air Force helicopter crash. The crash of the fighter helicopter happened last Wednesday in Damasak, Borno State.
A list of those included in the crash has been released as follows.
“Flight Lieutenant Perowei Jacob, pilot in command; Flight Lieutenant Kaltho Kilyofas, co-pilot; Sergeant Auwal Ibrahim, flight technician; Lance corporal Adamu Nura, gunner, and Aircraftman Meshack Ishmael, gunner.”
The deaths were confirmed on Thursday by Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, the NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, stating that their remains have been deposited in Maiduguri, Borno.
It was confirmed yesterday that fighter helicopter was lost in the combat against Boko Haram at about 10:30 PM on Wednesday.
