Nigerian pop star Runtown has been emerged in controversy this year largely because of his legal feud with his former record label Eric Many. The latter had filed several court injunctions against the singer after he parted ways with the label after a fall-out.
The singer went on to launch his record label where he has full control of his music. However, Eric Many has not stopped fighting the singer with different allegations from time to time. the last one being that Runtown has been barred from entering the US.
In a reaction, his manager, Ebuka, told Sunday Scoop that the news of Runtown ban from America is untrue and that his artiste was having a blast.
“We are making new music, signing cheques and making money. That is the important thing. We don’t have time for fake news; this is a new generation and we are enlightened. He recently released a new song and video which cost over $1,000 on the video. This year has been amazing for Runtown and we are working on a fashion project too.”
About getting banned from entering the US, the manager said ‘For Life’ was having a tour in America early in 2019 and news that he was barred was false. He maintained that it’s untrue as the US Embassy has not confirmed such.
“Did the American embassy confirm this news? If they didn’t confirm it, then it is fake. We don’t have time for rubbish. Runtown will be having a tour in America in the first quarter of next year. There is no problem; people shouldn’t manufacture problems from anywhere.”
