The All Progressives Congress (APC) Kwara State has received into its party about 500 members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the weekend in Ekiti Local Government Area.
Bashir Bolarinwa who is the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress received the new members at Obo-Aiyegunle, said that they would be granted equal opportunities and privileges as old members of the party. In his remarks, he implored the former PDP members to endeavor to add value to the party at both national and state levels.
While receiving them and commending their decision to make the switch, Bolarinwa informed them of the big task ahead. On the task ahead, he urged the new members to work to ensure that the came out successful in the coming gubernatorial, House of Assembly, presidential and National Assembly elections.
Mr Bolarinwa, promised to work with the new members of the party without discriminating anyone. He said the party was in good shape as new members joined up to strengthen the force in Obo-Aiyegunle and Ekiti Local Government.
He also thanked all members of the party following its success at the House of Representatives by-election.
